You Can Choose What You Focus On

  • Sharebar

We do it every single day.

We choose how to view things that happen to us or things that we do. Some days we are more positive, other days we lean more to the negative.

In the end, what we choose to focus on determines how we perceive things.

So today, as my eldest son reaches the milestone of 21, I won’t dwell on how time flies.

I won’t dwell on how this little thing

turned into this man big guy.

I won’t focus on how I looked right before I gave birth to him at age 20.

Or right after.

Instead, I will choose to focus on how I felt at age 21, full of life and ready to take on the world.

And I will focus on how I looked at age 21. and try no to cry too much and maybe start a diet…again.

The attitude we choose determines our experience.

You can choose your focus, be it the positive or the negative.

When has your focus changed your experience?

Happy birthday to my eldest. Only yesterday was your 20th birthday and it feels like only a little while ago you were born. May you continue to be the charismatic fun person you are and may you have a life filled with health, happiness, love, peace, success, happiness and wealth.

I am me and also lots of other things like a wife, a mother, a daughter, a sister, a daughter in law, a sister in law, a friend, an oncology nurse, a blogger, a life coach in training, an avid book reader, a chauffeur, a chef, a shopper, a maid and on some days a bit overwhelmed. On this blog I share my journey of striving to see the best in everyone and everything. Strive, because I don't always manage to. Yup, I am human. I would love to have you join me in learning lessons in positivity from life.
