Don’t Let The Little Things Get To You

Don’t let the little things get to you.
It is not worth it.

I am sure I have written something along similar lines, probably more than once, but it really is an important point so what the heck.

When it’s been a day you probably should have stayed in bed things are not going your way, remember that
the only thing you really have control over is the way you react to things that happen to and around you.

So if things happen, even if they are really annoying especially after you have cleaned your house, remember not to sweat the little stuff.

In twenty years time will it really matter if this is what happened when you emptied your shredder after your house was finally clean and the floor washed?

The answer is no. So why get worked up?

(I won’t bother telling you that I crawled back into bed for a bit before I went to clean that up. I think that was the smart move, no?)

How do you cope with the annoying but unimportant things that happen?

I am me and also lots of other things like a wife, a mother, a daughter, a sister, a daughter in law, a sister in law, a friend, an oncology nurse, a blogger, a life coach in training, an avid book reader, a chauffeur, a chef, a shopper, a maid and on some days a bit overwhelmed. On this blog I share my journey of striving to see the best in everyone and everything. Strive, because I don't always manage to. Yup, I am human. I would love to have you join me in learning lessons in positivity from life.

Yet again Susie, your timing is perfect! I needed to be reminded that it is my reaction rather than the event. Thank you!

what’s a little paper? Sheesh – try spilling oil or raw eggs on your clean floor. Now THAT is fun to clean up! (and I’ve done them both – multiple times)
But yes, in the grand scheme of things, so not worth freaking out about. I need to be reminded of that often. :)

I need to be reminded of this often. I am a cryer though, that would have made me cry and then I would have been fine. But always cry at all these situations, just silent tears don’t make a sound but I still cry!

The thing that scares me is, just how much of the stuff we do on a daily basis which actually matter to us in 20 years time?

That is so true, which is why we have to make sure our time counts.
