Especially If You Have Little Kids, Don’t Go Out Without Tissues Or Wipes

Actually even if you have no kids don’t go anywhere without tissues or wipes handy. Keep some in your car and some in your bag.

My little one is four (where did the time fly???) so going out with her doesn’t necessitate taking along a diaper bad crammed with every possibly useful item under the sun. Actually most times, I go out with almost nothing. When I am smart I bring along some food.

Yesterday we had my second son’s high school graduation. For all kinds of reasons we ended up taking the little one with us.

I was not smart enough to remember to bring food for the little one and hubby was hungry even though they were serving food at the graduation, so we stopped to get something.

Of course as soon as hubby got out of the car, the little monster angel woke up and started urgently yelling I have to pee. (Actually it was in Hebrew so she said Yesh Lee Peepee, Yesh Li Peepee which means I have a peepee.) At this point I started searching frantically for tissues. (Frantically because I had no change of clothing with me and an accident would have been a disaster.)

The search was not going so well. I almost called hubby to come back because he usually has tissues in his pocket. (Did not even think that duh the food place would have napkins.)

Anyways, I finally found tissues crunched into one of the seat pockets and I took the little miss to a corner to pee. It was actually a waterfall, but I’m sure you don’t need descriptions. Pictures are enough no?

So next time you are tempted to leave the house without tissues or wipes, remember you are not being very smart. You never know when you might need them.

Have you ever been stuck without tissues or wipes?

  1. thankfully with my youngest still in nappies i always have a pack in my handbag – they’ve saved me more than once, and usually for the 4 year old rather than the 2 year old with incidents like this.

I will now not be leaving home again without some.

  2. Even now, after all my children are grown, there is always a packet of wet wipes near by. I even take a few extra individually wrapped lemon wipes that are sometimes provided in a certain fast food outlet and throw them in the glove box of the car – I too have been caught out on a couple of occasions (not me… haha… the children) and learnt my lesson.

    1. Susie says:

Definitely not going anywhere without tissues again.

Yes, yes, yes – best advice ever. Had a very close call only yesterday, but thankfully had a pack with us!

    1. Susie says:

LOL-am chuckling a bit that out of all the advice I have ever given this is the best. :-)

  4. Lol, yes I have been caught out so now I buy little packets of tissues and have one permanently residing in my handbag :D Glad you averted the crisis :) Jen.

I read the title and said “duh!” I never go anywhere without wipes and a change of clothing. I think I’ll still be buying wipes when my kids are teenagers! :)

    Susie,
Just stopping by to say hello and thank you for stopping by the book club over at HCB today! And here I get a chuckle in the process. My boys are older now but the tissue days never end. In fact, just the other day I was wishing I had one of those Shout wipes because our biggest problems these days usually involve food all over the clothes :)

Enjoyed my visit here. So amazing to be chatting with you wayyy over there! Many blessings!
